Oil Pastel Drawing and Ink Continuous Line Drawing of a Life Model

This image is a combination of oil pastels, inks and acrylic. The oil pastels show the diversity in shadow and light, even though they aren't skin tones. The black ink lines are to define the lines in the body and explore the interior lines the body creates. I think this piece is a bold and vibrant piece that emphasises the diversity of tones and shades.

Continuous Life Drawing of a Life Model

This image is an example of continuous line drawings of the life model that can in for our visual studies lesson. This is done with crayons, and is a layering of two positions, one where he was lying down and the other was when he was sat up. I think these two not only show the lines of his outline but explore the lines his body makes, the lines on his skin, and the lines the shadows make.

Paper "Nautical" Themed Outfit

During the first month of the foundation course we did a induction into each specialism, and this was my outcome for fashion/textiles. I was given a word and then had to develop an outfit that resembled the word. The word I was given was the word nautical and created a piece that shows the waves of the ocean on the top, and a mermaid skirt to look at the fantasy side of the word nautical.

Typography Prints

During the first month of the foundation course we did a induction into each specialism, and this was my outcome from my print session. I was given a word and had to develop that into a typography print. I used black oil based print with a variety of size letters, and on different materials.

Material and Puff Binding Explortaion

These are close up images of the intricate layering of fabrics and prints. I thought the ballerina prints showed the delicacy of movement. The four squares all have puff binding on them, that in some places have burnt into them, and others the puff binding has raised a considerable amount. The final pieces show a highly textured and delicate piece.

The Sunset Collections

In my collections project we had a starting project in which we had to draw collections, however because I enjoy painting, I thought that I would extend the project by painting a collection of photographs of sunsets that I had taken in Australia.
